The Intern will acquire knowledge of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay and understand how the Club's programs and operations create a rich development environment that leads to a deepening impact resulting in positive youth outcomes. Experience will include orientation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay & Boys, overview of organization policies & procedures, roles & responsibilities of the program staff, overview of Boys & Girls Club programs & activities, and hands-on experience with Club Members: homework assistance, tutoring, or other activities as assigned by the Club Director. Specific job tasks may include reading with a child, helping with art activities, games room, or gym, coaching a sports team, assisting with special events, chaperoning field trips, serving as a resource speaker – share a talent or career, assisting at the Membership Desk Clerk (answering phones, signing club members in and out), assisting with clerical duties at the Administrative Office, and other learning opportunities as they occur. Summer Term: 320 hours, full-time hours.
