About The Position

This is a part-time position that provides youth development services to Club participants at Boys & Girls Club of Norman. This position involves researching, coordinating, planning, preparing, and facilitating activities for Club members as assigned and working under the Program Coordinators. This position must be available to work a total of 15 hours Monday through Friday between the hours of 2:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
  • High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others orally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and volunteers.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer using e-mail, word processing and other applications related to assigned duties.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
  • Thorough knowledge of all job related policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge and experience with child abuse and neglect issues.
  • Working knowledge of child development.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education, youth development and leadership experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate planning, preparation and facilitate activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, and presentation of a social and emotional learning and other curricula as assigned.
  • Provide support to Club members and members’ families using strengths based approach.
  • Attend all required program staffing and other meetings, workshops and trainings.
  • Complete Incident Reports as needed.
  • Use behavior management skills, structure, and positive leadership to act as a caring adult role model for youth.
  • Follow all CCFI policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Work as a team with other staff, and volunteers.
  • Participate in processing and clean up after services.
  • Perform other duties as required.
