About The Position

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Youth Development Coordinator to join their team. This role involves assisting young adults aged 14-23 in their transition to adulthood and out of the foster care system. The coordinator will help young adults achieve goals such as obtaining secondary and post-secondary education, finding and maintaining housing, developing employment skills, building healthy relationships, and securing a healthy and sustaining lifestyle. Community networking and partnerships are key to enhancing the success of the young adults. The agency works closely with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) and emphasizes a good work-life balance and a family-friendly environment.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in independent living services is beneficial but not required.
• This position includes significant local travel.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Must be able to manage finances and balance a checkbook.
• Must have good organizational skills and be able to engage young adults who have experienced trauma.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
