Youth Development Center Food Service Assistant
About The Position
The Youth Development Center Food Service Assistant will play a meaningful role in the lives of children by ensuring they and team members receive nutritious meals within the YMCA's licensed childcare and preschool centers. The YMCA Youth Development Centers provide high-quality, values-oriented, state-licensed childcare and pre-school education across three locations in Bismarck Mandan. The YMCA is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living, and fostering social responsibility, and has been recognized as one of Prairie Business Magazine's 50 Best Places to Work from 2018 to 2025.
Requirements
- Licensed driver for a minimum of three years
- Clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- Previous food service, food preparation, and/or delivery experience
Responsibilities
- Driving the YMCA van to the North childcare location to pick up and deliver food to our Main location
- Preparing food portions and afternoon snack items for classrooms
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and food storage area
- Assisting with inventory management to support efficient food ordering
