Clarvida is seeking a Youth Crisis Center Peer Support Specialist/Safety Monitor to provide support to youth experiencing a mental health crisis by sharing lived experience to promote recovery and resiliency. This role assists youth in understanding their role in accessing services, becoming informed consumers of services, and self-advocacy within a crisis center setting. The staff works as part of an interdisciplinary team focusing on crisis intervention skills to de-escalate, treat, and stabilize behavioral health needs. The position also maintains the safety and security of the center by conducting client and visitor check-ins and discharges, communicating with staff on shift, and providing assistance by connecting callers to the appropriate staff. Clarvida offers support for individuals interested in becoming Peer Support certified through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
