The Star View Adolescent Center is a comprehensive mental health inpatient residential facility for adolescents (ages 12-17) experiencing severe mental health challenges. It is a 24/7 locked, highly secure inpatient residential campus operating with the highest standards of dignity and care since 1988. The facility offers Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF), Community Treatment Facility (CTF), and an on-site Non-Public High School (SBHS). Clinical services include multidisciplinary mental health services, Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), and an Intensive Day Treatment Program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred
- Knowledge/experience with dietary procedures and inspections of food service areas for sanitation
Responsibilities
- Assisting dietary functions as directed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Preparing and serving meals that are palatable and appetizing to resident clients.
- Food service in accordance with established portion control procedures that involve cooking, setting up meal trays, food carts, and the delivery of snacks.
- Assist in daily/scheduled cleaning duties such as dining room tables, sweeping and mopping floors, washing and cleaning refrigerator/stoves and utensils.
- Ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed.
