About The Position
Adelphoi is hiring youth counselors for their group homes in Cogan Station, PA. This role involves prioritizing treatment plans that yield exceptional results for youth. The position offers a 4-week rotating schedule including day, afternoon, and weekend shifts.
Requirements
- Ability to safely perform physical interventions and restraints with individuals who may weigh 200+ pounds, using approved techniques.
- Ability to stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the shift.
- Successfully complete and maintain certification in Adelphoi’s crisis intervention / restraint training and pass any required physical abilities assessment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor youth in a residential setting.
- Maintain safety and order using approved crisis-prevention and physical intervention techniques when necessary.
- Participate in de-escalation, restraint, and emergency response procedures as trained and required.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to provide consistent structure and support.
