About The Position
The Youth Counselor Overnight (YCO) is a full-time, entry-level line worker position that provides for the general care of at-risk youth during late hours, sleep hours, and early morning. This role manages the treatment milieu and routine within a home setting during these times. The Youth Counselor Overnight is a crucial part of the quality of care and treatment provided to these youth.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 at the time of hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience working with youth in a paid or volunteer setting.
- Ability to be an outgoing team player who can work collaboratively and personably with other staff.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs as needed.
- Ability to climb stairs as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, consistent, and structured living environment.
- Serve as a positive role model.
- Teach important life skills.
- Perform routine household duties like cleaning, organizing, and basic maintenance.
- Support a cooperative and collaborative staff team environment.
