OREGON YOUTH AUTHORITY Youth Corrections Unit Coordinator - Skill Development Coordinator Woodburn, OR – MACLAREN YOUTH CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Are you interested in making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals? The Oregon Youth Authority is excited to announce openings for multiple Skill Development Coordinator positions at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility. As a Skill Development Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the unit manager with the overall leadership of their assigned living unit. Your responsibilities will include leadership support, staff development, operational coordination, and fostering a Positive Human Development culture within the living unit. In this integral position within the unit’s leadership structure, you will also support youth skill development and case-related functions, including contributing to case planning activities, supporting multidisciplinary team (MDT) coordination, and helping ensure youth are actively engaged in treatment and skill-building programs. Key duties also include providing proactive intervention and response to behaviorally challenging youth and/or youth requiring conflict resolution, providing ongoing staff and team development in Collaborative Problem Solving and Trauma Informed Care, and ensuring appropriate and timely documentation. Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a behavioral science or related field; OR Three years of experience observing, evaluating, and recording behavior and maintaining discipline of individuals in a program related to juvenile justice, treatment programs, or special education within an institution or residential living unit; OR An associate degree from an accredited school in a behavioral science or equivalent training program with an emphasis on juvenile systems, special education, and/or secondary education AND one year experience working in a juvenile justice, treatment, or secondary education program.

  • Experience with Trauma-Informed care
