About The Position

Looking for meaningful work where you can truly change lives — without a 5-day work week? Wediko NH is hiring Youth Congregate Residential Counselors to support middle and high school aged students with emotional and behavioral challenges. This is hands-on, relationship-based work where you mentor, coach, and help young people build the skills they need to succeed. Consistent 4-day work week (set schedule). Three days off. This is an active role that requires being on your feet and engaged throughout your shift. Some days are challenging, but you’ll never handle difficult situations alone — teamwork and support are central to our program. Residential Counselors can enroll in The Home’s Impact Corps - a fellowship learning track designed to provide adults with an opportunity to help serve vulnerable children and young adults while gaining industry experience in counseling, education, clinical roles, and leadership. Along the way, gain new training, hone your skills, and be eligible for bonuses adding up to $5,000 upon successful completion! Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
21 years of age or older
The applicant must meet one (1) of the following minimum qualification pathways: Two (2) years of full-time experience working with children (paid or volunteer), OR Seven (7) years of parenting experience, OR An associate’s degree or higher with at least 12 credits in human services or a related field, awarded by a regionally accredited college or university.
If an applicant does not meet any one of the requirements listed above, they may still qualify if they sign a formal education agreement stating they will: Complete 12 credits in human services within 2 years of hire, and Provide documentation showing completion of 3 credits every 6 months, starting from the date of hire.

Responsibilities

Build mentoring relationships with youth
Support daily routines and skill-building
Coach youth in emotional regulation and positive decision-making
Participate in recreational and outdoor activities
Work as part of a supportive team, no one handles crises alone

$20 per hour starting pay
Up to $5,000 hiring bonus (paid in installments over first year)
