Youth Community Outreach Coordinator - Male Only - Juvenile Probation
About The Position
This position supervises youth in structured recreational activities, field trips, and workshops. The coordinator interacts with school districts, service organizations, community churches, and law enforcement agencies, and establishes contacts with higher education and trade schools. Responsibilities include assisting with Mental Health Substance Abuse Services, life skills development, and helping youth overcome barriers to education opportunities. The role also involves developing avenues for admissions and financial aid in higher education institutions, building business and youth relationships, mentoring youth, providing educational help and tutoring, and participating in emergency management duties during a local state of disaster as directed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- 1 year of job related experience.
- Ability to interact effectively with the public and other employees.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks within tight deadlines and the ability to prioritize own work.
- Requires valid Texas Driver's License.
