Canal Alliance seeks a compassionate and responsive Bilingual (Spanish) Youth Case Manager to support unaccompanied immigrant youth through our Rapid Response Program. This role is fast-paced, hands-on, and focused on addressing urgent, youth-identified needs such as safety concerns, school enrollment issues, immigration support, basic needs, and crisis stabilization. The ideal candidate builds trust quickly, stays calm in emergent situations, and works collaboratively with schools, CBOs, caregivers, and internal teams. Experience with CalAIM ECM and Community Supports is highly valued, as this position may will braid CalAIM funding with Rapid Response services to expand support for youth. The Youth Case Manager will report directly to the Intake and Case Management Supervisor. Full-time position = 32 hours per week. (4-day work week) Non-exempt hourly position: 39$/hr Schedule: Shifts are Mon-Thurs either 8am to 4pm or 10am to 6pm for this position. Location: San Rafael, 91 Larkspur St (Hybrid – 3 days in-office)

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience working with youth, especially immigrant or high-need populations
  • Ability to manage crises, respond quickly, and navigate complex systems
  • Strong communication skills, cultural humility, and trauma-informed approach

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field. Equivalent experience in case management or care coordination may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and knowledge of community resources and CalAIM requirements is also desired.

Responsibilities

  • Respond quickly to emergent needs identified by unaccompanied youth.
  • Conduct assessments, provide crisis stabilization, and develop short-term action plans.
  • Coordinate resources, including mental health support, school services, legal referrals, and emergency needs.
  • Partner closely with schools and CBOs to ensure coordinated care.
  • Use CalAIM ECM/Community Supports to enhance service options and braid funding.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Salesforce and meet funder requirements.
