About The Position
Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a P/T Youth Care Worker at Pompano Youth Academy in Pompano Beach, Florida. Pompano Youth Academy is a residential commitment program for at-risk female youth. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. As a Youth Care Worker, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.
Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education.
- Possess a Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth.
- Monitor and document behaviors.
- Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
- Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.
