About The Position
Les Peters Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for female youth aged 14 to 19. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while in the program. A youth’s length of stay is determined by the youth's assessed risk to reoffend, their progress in reducing applicable criminogenic needs and risk factors, and the completion of their individualized treatment plan. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. As a Coach Counselor, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.
Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position, or 60 hours of college education
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth.
- Monitor and document behaviors.
- Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
- Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.
