About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Youth Care Worker (Coach Counselor) for the Columbus Youth Academy. Columbus Youth Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth up to age 19. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based sex offender services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while in the program. Pompano Youth Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving moderate-risk female youth aged 13 to 18 who require borderline intellectual functioning, major disorder, intensive mental health, behavioral/mental health, and substance abuse services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while at the program. Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Have one year of experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position, or 60 hours of college education
• Possess a valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of our Youth.
• Monitor and document behaviors.
• Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
• Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.
