Youth Care Worker -NIGHTS
About The Position
Pompano Youth Academy is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving moderate risk female youth aged 13 to 18 who require borderline intellectual functioning, major disorder, intensive mental health, behavioral/mental health and substance abuse services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while at the program. After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults. As a Youth Care Worker-NIGHTS, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.
Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Have one-year experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
- Possess a Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth.
- Monitor and document behaviors.
- Monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time.
- Assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.
