About The Position

Provide supervision, guidance, boundaries, and direction to residents. Demonstrate a variety of support, communication, and compliance with CHOR's Sanctuary principles. Assist with the planning and supervision of programmed activities. Maintain safety and security of residents and the facility at all times. This role requires commitment to young people, the ability to act with integrity in times of stress, and demonstration of patience, tolerance, and flexibility.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 Years of Age
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
Associate's degree with at least 1 year experience working with youth.
Highschool Diploma or GED with 1 year of experience working with youth.
Must past all pre-employment physical, drug screening includes background clearances (Child, Criminal, FBI, and DMV)
Must pass both federal and state background checks which screen for crimes including, but not limited to drug related crimes, violent crimes, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors.
Ability to demonstrate basic oral, written, and verbal communication.
Must attend all required trainings followed by shadowing prior to working on the unit.
Ability to work effectively among various levels of behaviors and maintain an atmosphere of safety, support, and guidance to ensure a positive environment.
The employee must have the physical ability to restrain a resident, if needed, while utilizing the tenets of Safe Crisis Management training.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or any Human Services field.
