Youth Basketball Official
About The Position
The Carrboro Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Resources Department is seeking qualified individuals to officiate Youth Basketball games. Play is governed by local league rules and National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) rules. Youth Basketball games are played primarily on Friday evenings and Saturdays from December through early March with some weeknight games. Age groups include 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, 9-12 (Girls) and 13-15. Flexible scheduling exists with officials being assigned 2-10 games per week. Training is provided in October, November and December.
Requirements
- Sound basketball rules knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- Previous officiating experience.
- Basketball playing or coaching experience.
