Youth Ballet Instructor
About The Position
The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for a part-time Youth Ballet Instructor in Orange County. This role is an opportunity to inspire and empower youth participants ages 4–12 by delivering engaging, safe, and effective ballet classes. This position will look to foster confidence, creativity, and self-expression while practicing exceptional hospitality and creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Youth Ballet Instructor will help cultivate a love of dance, support age-appropriate skill development, and reflect our commitment to youth enrichment and community well-being.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 21+ years old.
- Experience teaching or performing ballet required.
- First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
Nice To Haves
- Two- or four-year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity-related field.
- Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred.
- Basic certification in specific discipline from accredited agencies (e.g. AFAA, ACE).
