About The Position

Beloit Health System is seeking a Youth Apprentice to join their team. This Per Diem position is located in Beloit, WI. The Youth Apprentice will support healthcare professionals with daily tasks, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to patient care. The role involves applying infection prevention controls, standard precautions, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Responsibilities include providing patient care, setting up diagnostic areas, assisting with patient preparation for imaging exams, applying radiation safety principles, aiding with patient positioning, cleaning and restocking rooms, transporting patients, and maintaining inventory.

Requirements

• Must be a current High School Student, 16 years of age or older
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a healthcare environment

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of medical terminology helpful
