About The Position

The Youth Apprentice High school students will perform regular schoolwork, obtain classroom training through appropriate/assigned college per county and location. Students will perform clinical and non-clinical work at the assigned department within Froedtert Health. (This is a cooperative program sponsored by participating Public High Schools, local Colleges, and Froedtert Health). The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education. Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The Froedtert & MCW health network, which includes ten hospitals, nearly 2,000 physicians and more than 45 health centers and clinics draw patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation.

Requirements

• High school junior or senior student.
• Must meet certification/licensure requirements for the equivalent position (ex. a Unit Tech needs to have CNA certification).
• Must be approved by the County Public Schools, local participating Colleges, and Froedtert Health (all participating locations).
• Must be respectful, well groomed, cooperative, and able to communicate with all age groups.
