About The Position

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is hiring for dynamic Youth & Family Support Workers at our site in Waltham. We provide a supportive culture that is team-focused and places value on healthy work dynamics. This role involves connecting with youth in the field of behavioral health. The position offers a salary range of $22.00 - $28.00/hour depending on experience and degree, plus a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus (pro-rated for part-time). Half of the bonus is paid after 6 months of employment and the other half after 1 year of employment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field plus at least 1 year of direct experience working with children, young adults, and/or families.
Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

Provide culturally informed therapeutic interventions to children, young adults, and their families, that promote skill building in the life domains of: social functioning, symptom management, coping skills and activities of daily living.
Collaborate with all members of the team to ensure continuity in treatment, services, and messages delivered.
Provide both "soft" services (mentoring, counseling, skill-building) with identified clients as well as "hard" services including transportation, referrals, accessing concrete services such as furniture, food, etc.
Serve as an advocate and attend meetings with the family and as requested by the youth and/or family.
