About The Position

The Israeli-American Council (IAC) is seeking a dynamic Young Families Manager to expand its community impact and strategic investments in their region. This role involves planning, managing, and growing Young Families programming and related community events, representing the organization, and increasing IAC’s visibility and engagement. This is a 25-hour-per-week position, and the Young Families Manager will report to the Regional Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong connection to both Israeli and American identities. Knowledge about its people, culture, conflicts, history, etc.
  • Strong social skills and experience in community building.
  • Flexible hours to include work in the evenings and on weekends as needed for regional activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products and social networking tools.
  • Highly efficient and organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good operational & administrative management.
  • Ability to get along with all levels within the organization.
  • Fluent and skilled in both spoken and written Hebrew and English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Israeli and/or Jewish sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, marketing, promotion, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of Young Families programs, events, and community initiatives.
  • Plan and execute monthly Young Families events, including logistics, registration, vendor coordination, budgeting, and on-site management.
  • Build meaningful relationships with participating families and maintain ongoing communication and engagement with the Young Families community.
  • Collaborate with the Shinshinit to incorporate Israeli culture, traditions, and educational content into programs and events.
  • Create and develop engaging programming and activities for families with young children.
  • Responsible for program budgeting, expense tracking, and ensuring events are delivered within approved financial guidelines.
  • Identify and engage new families and communities in the region and create connections with local representatives and community partners.
  • Build, maintain, and engage an active Young Families community and serve as a point of contact for participants and community leaders.
  • Recruit, coordinate, and maintain relationships with volunteers who support Young Families programming.
  • Implement and assist in developing strategies to recruit participants and increase program engagement.
  • Update the regional community about upcoming events, programs, and opportunities for involvement.
  • Brand Management – Ensure that all IAC events and programs are appropriately branded and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Israeli-American, Jewish, and community organizations to expand partnerships and program reach.
  • Facilitate collaboration and community-building opportunities across Young Families initiatives within the region.
  • Participate in IAC staff meetings, trainings, and National conferences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support regional and organizational goals.
