Young Dancer Instructor (Ages 2-6), YMCA
About The Position
The YMCA of Greater St Petersburg's Dance Academy is looking for qualified, reliable dance instructors for young dancer classes in ballet, tap & hip hop for beginner levels for our growing dance program. Y Dance Academy (YDA) is a large non-profit dance program offering classes in all genres, including an award winning competition team, technique classes, and a large end of year performance for all students. Students have the option of pursuing dance competitively or as a recreational passion. We will be creating the schedule for next season based on availability, including days/times/locations.
Requirements
- Previous experience teaching a variety of dance genres to all age levels.
- References are required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have excellent relationship building skills.
- Must have a passion for teaching dance in a great work atmosphere.
- Pass a 10-panel urinalysis drug screen.
- Clear a Level 2 background check.
- Level 2 background clearance through DCF (Florida) required.
Nice To Haves
- Videos of past work preferred.
Responsibilities
- Instructors teach technique classes.
- Choreograph for the end of year performance.
