Young Adults Teaching & Young Couples Pastor
About The Position
Mariners Church is seeking a Young Adults Teaching & Young Couples Pastor to lead and equip young adults in their faith, leadership development, and community engagement. This role involves teaching at the Thursday Night Young Adult service, shepherding young couples through pre-marriage courses and gatherings, and collaborating with church leadership. The position is a full-time role with a schedule that typically includes Thursday and Sunday services, office meetings in Irvine, and additional weekday hours, totaling approximately 50 hours per week. This role reports to the Young Adults Pastor on the Young Adults Team and is part of the Irvine Congregation.
Requirements
- Seminary degree
- 5+ years ministry experience
- A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to biblical teaching.
- A passion for ministering to young adults and equipping them for life.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to teach and communicate biblical principles effectively.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Love Jesus and call themselves Christians.
- Embrace a high biblical standard of personal conduct and lifestyle.
- Agree to and adhere to the church's statement of faith, leadership commitment, and position papers.
- Work during Christmas Eve and Easter services.
- Participate then facilitate Rooted once per ministry year.
- Attend Mariners Church.
Nice To Haves
- Working with youth, college, Young Adults, or campus ministries is preferred.
- Experience in ministry leadership, discipleship, or volunteer coordination preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide biblical teaching at the Thursday Night service, facilitate group discussions, and offer spiritual guidance.
- Identify, mentor, and equip young adults for leadership within the ministry and the broader church community.
- Build a thriving community of Young Couples at Mariners Church, including a Pre-Marriage Course and gathering events.
- Collaborate with church leadership and other ministry teams to align young adult initiatives with the overall vision of the church.
- Work closely with the Senior Pastor and Irvine Lead Pastor as this role is part of the Irvine Congregation.
