About The Position

LTC is an interpreting agency seeking contract interpreters fluent in both English and Yoruba language in and around Nashville, TN. Interpreters will accept appointments on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings including medical, social work, education, and workplace environments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of interpreting experience required.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Candidate must live within commuting distance of Nashville, TN.

Nice To Haves

• Interpreting certifications, preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience preferred.
• 3 years of experience interpreting and has experience in a variety of medical settings, social work, education and workplace settings, among others.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual & on-site, in-person interpretation.
• Be a liaison using the client’s preferred language.
• Accurately interpret appropriate to the setting and audience.
• Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA.
