About The Position

YogaSix is seeking dedicated, warm, outgoing, and engaging yoga teachers who want to grow their teaching and contribute to a community of instructors committed to changing lives. Teachers guide empowering, energizing, and fun classes while following YogaSix standards and guidelines for its six core class types. The role includes connecting with students, preparing and maintaining the studio, providing instruction, and building community. Classes take place in a heated and humidified room that can reach 104 degrees.

Requirements

• Outgoing personality and a strong desire to provide exceptional client service.
• Ability to connect with people who are complete strangers on a personal level.
• Willingness to grow and remain a student.
• Sense of humor.
• Ability to teach safe, fun, and creative classes with a genuine interest in student success, whether students are novices or seasoned practitioners.
• Minimum 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification.
• Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the studio 15–30 minutes before class begins.
• Create a personal connection with each student.
• Deliver a class that reflects the instructor’s personality and skills while adhering to YogaSix standards and guidelines for its six core class types.
• Prepare the classroom, including props, mat spacing, music, and lighting.
• Provide high-quality class instruction.
• Follow up with students after class.
• Clean the studio space.
• Build community and connection.
• Demonstrate exercises and postures in real time, monitor student movement, and provide hands-on adjustments when needed and desired by students.
• Adjust and operate equipment, such as lighting, music, and dumbbells.
