About The Position

This role involves monitoring the production line for chickens that have come off the line, catching them, and returning them. The technician will also remove deceased chickens from the line, prepare them for disposal by making a cut to ensure they are dead, and perform other related tasks. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of protective equipment. Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Excellent attendance record/2 points or less.
• Willing to cross train and learn all tasks in department.
• Perform basic mathematics.
• Able to work with little or no supervision.
• Effectively manage time to complete all assigned tasks.
• Communicate effectively with other hourly employees and plant management.

Responsibilities

• Check the floor for chickens that have come off the line.
• Catch chickens that have come off the line and return them to the line.
• Remove chickens that are on the line that have died.
• Hang the chickens that were identified as being dead and will make a cut to ensure that they are dead before disposing.
