About The Position

High Concrete is seeking a Yardperson/Material Handler for their 2nd Shift team, starting at 3:00 PM. This role is responsible for the safe handling of products from production areas to yard storage and ensuring a smooth and safe flow of products from storage to trailers for shipment. The position requires the ability to work outdoors year-round and involves assisting with loading and unloading, setting blocks, evaluating pieces with wood blocks, using hand signals, operating handheld scanners, and gathering necessary materials for production.

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors year round
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Lift up to 50lbs

• Travel lift and/or tow motor a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing duties to ensure the proper and safe handling of products from the production areas to yard storage.
• Ensure a smooth and safe flow of products from the storage areas onto trailers for shipments to job sites.
• Assist in hooking up products for loading and unloading.
• Setting blocks, evaluating pieces with wood blocks.
• Use of hand signals to escort equipment operators for setting, lifting or maneuvering production pieces during loading/unloading process.
• Operate electronic hand held scanners for verification of production pieces during storage process.
• Gather, at start of shift, shims, steel blocks, homosote, rack pins, and wood blocking used for the days production.
