About The Position
American Stone is looking to hire a full-time Yard Hand to help with our projects and provide excellent customer service. This role supports daily yard operations and customer service activities and requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and a willingness to learn. We are looking for a dependable, hard-working individual with a positive attitude who enjoys hands-on work, working outdoors, and being part of a team-driven environment.
Requirements
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience operating forklifts or loaders is preferred but not required
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
Responsibilities
- Load customer vehicles, delivery trucks, and company vehicles safely and efficiently
- Stack, organize, and move stone, pallets, and materials throughout the yard
- Operate yard equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and tractors once properly trained
- Assist customers in locating products and answering basic product questions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, storage areas, and workspaces
- Cut stone using saws and other tools as needed
- Follow safety procedures and operate equipment according to training and company standards
- Assist co-workers and supervisors with additional tasks as assigned
