About The Position

Depending on the product lines assigned to the region, the Yard Worker is responsible for maintaining fence, sanitation, power, and storage equipment in clean and operational condition. They ensure that all equipment leaving the yard meets the quality standards of National Construction Rentals, Inc. Additionally, the Yard Worker assists in the loading and unloading of materials from NCR vehicles. Essential functions include cleaning, repairing, and stacking fence materials; maintaining cleanliness, conducting repairs, and applying paint to fence, sanitation, and storage equipment; assisting in loading, unloading, and servicing vehicles; operating steam cleaners, forklifts, and air tools; reporting accidents; maintaining inventory logs; documenting maintenance and repair work; emptying and cleaning portable toilets; and ensuring a safe and tidy work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work from detailed instructions and occasionally make independent decisions.
• Task-oriented with proficiency in following detailed instructions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record within company guidelines.
• Must be at least 21 years old (because this position may be required to drive a company vehicle).
• Possess a forklift certification (will be provided after hire).
• DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Clean, repair, and ensure proper rolling and stacking of fence materials in the yard.
• Maintain cleanliness, conduct repairs, and apply paint to fence, sanitation, and storage equipment.
• Assist in the loading, unloading, and servicing of vehicles used for fence, sanitation, and storage operations.
• Operate steam cleaners, forklifts, and air tools proficiently and safely.
• Immediately report any accidents or incidents according to company procedures.
• Maintain and update inventory logs on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as required.
• Document all maintenance and repair work completed daily.
• Empty and clean portable toilets in preparation for delivery.
• Ensure a safe and tidy work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
