Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Six months of related experience in lumber, building materials, warehouse, yard operations, or a similar environment preferred.
- OSHA Forklift Certification required or ability to obtain certification as required by the location.
- Ability to read and understand invoices, work orders, and other documents.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with locating, retrieving, and loading building materials.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move products throughout the yard.
- Verify materials against invoices and customer orders to ensure accuracy.
- Organize and stock inventory to maintain a safe, efficient, and customer-ready environment.
- Perform routine yard maintenance and housekeeping to keep the facility clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety standards and actively contribute to a culture of safety.
- Participate in ongoing safety meetings and training programs.
- Support team members with additional responsibilities as needed.
