About The Position

Performs basic warehouse and yard duties to include, but not limited to, receiving, shipping, loading, and unloading equipment using various sizes of forklifts, keeping the warehouse area clean and organized, keeping the yard organized as well as all paperwork required to perform these duties. This requires working independently, with specific direction or as a member of a team. Hours for this position are from Monday through Friday from 7 AM until 4 PM. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self- development.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Equipment selection skills - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Must have good computer skills.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software and related hardware.
  • Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization.
  • First-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline oriented.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair including an overhead crane.
  • Ability to operate a conventional forklift.
  • Ability to quickly and repeatedly operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
  • Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand information.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 7 AM until 4 PM.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One to two years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • Must be able to pass forklift driving assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and regards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
  • Maintains all company equipment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order.
  • Works as a member of a team to pull equipment, components, parts, and hardware from the warehouse in a timely manner and deliver to the Engine Rebuild, Field Service, Engineering Dept. and Transport teams.
  • Ensures the warehouse and equipment yard is neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Responsible for general yard and shop cleanup in accordance with company standards, maintaining a safe and hazard free yard.
  • Learns how to identify parts incoming and kitting or for potential return.
  • Learns how to receive orders through the CODA system.
  • Responsible for physical inventory counts of equipment at least twice monthly.
  • Responsible to update data in inventory control software.
  • Distributes paperwork and mail to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists the PSD Engineering Dept., Engine Rebuild, Field Service and Transport teams when needed.
  • Communicates job status to supervisor.
  • Works overtime as required by workload.
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance.
  • Able to learn and perform other duties or software as assigned.
  • Able to complete required safety courses/training.
