About The Position
As a Yard Utility Worker at EMR, you’ll play a key role in our daily yard operations at our Green Isle site. In this role, you’ll support general yard upkeep and assist with a variety of yard tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to operate equipment safely
- Ability to lift and handle 50 pounds
- Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Move, sort and handle scrap metal and materials
- Operate equipment to load and unload materials from trucks, trailers and containers
- Assist with basic material processing, including dismantling small components and collecting loose material
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard
- Greet and assist customers with unloading materials
