Yard Truck Driver - Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A Yard Drivers. This is a yard switching position with no deliveries or over-the-road driving. You will drive late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras. The role involves performing yard switching only, moving trailers in and out of docks, coupling and uncoupling trailers, and chocking trailers. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with two consecutive days off each week. This is an on-site position in a temperate climate.
Requirements
- Class A CDL
- No touch freight (Drop & Hook)
- Yard switching experience
- Ability to perform approximately 50 yard moves per day
Nice To Haves
- Experience driving late model Penske Truck Leasing trucks
- Familiarity with trucks equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras
- Experience with automatic equipment in an on-site yard environment
Responsibilities
- Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management
- Couple and uncouple trailers
- Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors
- Perform yard switching only – no deliveries or road driving
- Complete approximately 50 yard moves per day
