Requirements

High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or International Education Equivalent is required.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required, depending on state/facility requirements).
Minimum 1 year of experience operating yard trucks, hostlers, or similar equipment.
The ability to safely operate tractor-trailers and back trailers into tight dock spaces.
Communicate clearly and effectively through multiple channels – oral, written, visual, and non-verbal – ensuring our messages are understood and delivered appropriately, whether in-person or digitally.

Responsibilities

Follow all associated procedures (including FIFO procedures).
Operate yard truck to move trailers to and from dock.
Record trailer and seal numbers on all trucks and trailers after they are loaded, any storage trailers should be tagged storage, fat level, customer and date placed in storage, to prevent any loss product and monitored closely.
Provide the supervisor with a list of all seal numbers at the end of the day.
Answer calls promptly, in order received and complete move within 15 minutes safely is the goal
Report all accidents immediately to the supervisor.
Fuel all tractors and trailers as needed to maintain temperatures that are filled with product.
Complete accident reports for insurance carriers.
Always monitor company-issued radio during shift; return the radio to a battery charger at the end of each day.
Responsible for recording hub mileage, fuel levels, temperature checks, and fuel pump readings.
Monitor and adjust refrigerated trailer temperature settings per specific load requirements.
Reprocess milk and complete restacking as needed.
Responsible for general housekeeping to ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
