About The Position

SRM Concrete is seeking a Yard Team Member to maintain a clean, safe, and organized concrete plant. This role involves hands-on work, keeping the yard and plant areas tidy, assisting with material loading and unloading, supporting plant operations with manual labor, performing routine maintenance, monitoring inventory, and adhering to all safety protocols. The position offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, contributing to community building projects.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and enjoyment of physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and company protocols.
• Ready to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Yard Team Member, Yard Laborer, Yard Worker, or in construction/landscaping.
• Basic understanding of construction materials and tools, or eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Keep the yard and plant areas clean and organized by sweeping, shoveling, and performing general clean-up tasks.
• Assist with loading and unloading construction materials from trucks and other vehicles.
• Support plant operations by providing manual labor wherever needed.
• Help with routine maintenance tasks like pressure washing, organizing supplies, and general upkeep.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, and let your supervisor know when we’re running low.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Take on other duties as assigned to help keep the plant running efficiently.
