Yard Team Member - Cement Terminal
About The Position
SRM Concrete is seeking a Yard Team Member to maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization at their cement terminal. This role involves hands-on work, outdoor tasks, and contributing to the smooth operation of the plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be comfortable with physical labor and various weather conditions, and possess basic knowledge of construction materials and tools, or be willing to learn. Experience in a similar role or in construction/landscaping is a plus. The company emphasizes a team-oriented environment and offers opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and enjoyment of physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of construction materials and tools, or eagerness to learn.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and company protocols.
- Completion of SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Yard Team Member, Yard Laborer, Yard Worker, or in construction/landscaping.
Responsibilities
- Keep the yard and plant areas clean and organized by sweeping, shoveling, and performing general clean-up tasks.
- Assist with loading and unloading construction materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Support plant operations by providing manual labor wherever needed.
- Help with routine maintenance tasks like pressure washing, organizing supplies, and general upkeep.
- Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, and inform the supervisor when stock is low.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Take on other duties as assigned to help keep the plant running efficiently.
