About The Position

The Yard Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are received, processed, staged in the yard, and labeled according to customer and internal requirements. This role involves providing updates on vehicle inventory, reporting damage on incoming vehicles, identifying mis-shipped vehicles, and scheduling vehicle deliveries. The position requires adherence to company policies, procedures, OHSA regulations, and current Health & Safety procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
Previous Leadership experience within a relevant environment.
Valid Driver’s license.
Ability to lead a team of three employees.
Ability to work outside throughout the year within a fast-paced environment.
Basic MS Office skills (Outlook and Excel).

Responsibilities

Receiving all vehicles that come into the yard.
Properly labeling all vehicles that come into the yard.
Correctly staging vehicles according to destinations.
Communicating with logistics companies regarding vehicle delivery.
Checking the status of vehicles.
Accurate reporting of the number of shipped and received vehicles.
Sending out vehicle inventory lists throughout the shift at required times.
Monthly inventory comparison.
Reporting any damage on incoming vehicles according to company process.
Tracking damaged units and processing according to company process.
Keeping the yard clean, orderly, and efficient while adhering to all safety and driving rules.
Performing other duties as may be assigned.
