About The Position
The Yard Spotter is responsible for maneuvering and backing trailers into loading docks, opening bay doors, preparing trailers, and assisting in loading/unloading product. This role also involves maneuvering trailers into parking slips to prevent traffic backup in the yard, adhering to all safety protocols, performing safety checks, and operating equipment safely. Additionally, the Yard Spotter will use other warehouse equipment to load products into trailers, perform preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and machinery, and complete other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a valid Class A driver’s license
- 0 to 1 plus years of specific driving experience
- Must be able to lift products from 25 pounds to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 170 pounds

Responsibilities
- Maneuver and back trailers into loading docks, opens bay doors, prepare trailer, and assist in loading/unloading product
- Maneuver trailers into parking slips to ensure there is no traffic back up in the yard
- Follow all safety protocols including performing safety checks to secure trailer and operating all equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Use other warehouse equipment to help load products into trailers
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure they are clean and in good working condition
- Other duties as assigned
