About The Position

G&C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food, storing and delivering over 4,000 food items to customers across 27 states and 35 countries. As one of the most respected redistributors in the United States, G&C Foods is rapidly expanding all areas of its organization. The Yard Specialist role is a Certified Motor Vehicle Operator primarily based in the truck yard at the G&C Foods facility. This position is responsible for managing the fleet of trucks and trailers, including their placement, inspection, and general maintenance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Motor Vehicle Operator

Responsibilities

• Performs daily yard equipment inventory at the start of each shift
• Transports equipment to and from maintenance garages as needed
• Updates the dispatch board in Operations as needed
• Cleans trailers internally before loading of product
• Change DEF as needed
• Empty garbage bin near fuel station as needed
• Performs other functions as needed or directed by Transportation Management
