About The Position

G&C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food, storing and delivering over 4,000 food items to customers across 27 states and 35 countries. The company is one of the most respected redistributors in the United States and is rapidly expanding. The Yard Specialist is a Certified Motor Vehicle Operator who operates primarily out of the truck yard at the G&C Foods facility. This role is responsible for the fleet of trucks and trailers, including placement, inspection, and general maintenance of the equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• FL CDL-A preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs daily yard equipment inventory at the start of each shift
• Transports equipment to and from maintenance garages as needed
• Updates the dispatch board in Operations as needed
• Cleans trailers internally before loading of product
• Change DEF as needed
• Empty garbage bin near fuel station as needed
• Performs other functions as needed or directed by Transportation Management
