About The Position

The Yard & Shipping Supervisor oversees yard operations, dispatch, and driver coordination to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to job sites. This role is responsible for scheduling, compliance, and logistics planning, including load sequencing, routing, and regulatory requirements. The Supervisor leads yard and driver personnel while ensuring efficiency, safety, and accountability across all shipping operations. SAFETY IS OUR HIGHEST PRIORITY. Safety is our highest priority. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations
Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and contractors
Understanding of field erection processes and jobsite material needs
Ability to read and interpret fuel logs and mileage reports
Knowledge of prorate licensing and multi-state transport requirements
Proven ability to lead and manage a large team

Responsibilities

Oversee dispatch operations and coordinate delivery schedules with Field Service teams
Review and manage load lists based on delivery sequence and product weights
Plan routes, calculate load weights, and ensure proper blocking and transport setup
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, permits, and licensing requirements
Manage fuel tracking, mileage reporting (IFTA), and state reimbursements
Schedule maintenance and coordinate with shop mechanics
Supervise and schedule yard staff and truck drivers based on workload
Approve timecards and manage vacation scheduling for team members
Coordinate with Patch & Finish team on product readiness for shipment
Maintain clear communication across teams to ensure smooth operations
