About The Position

At High Concrete, we are seeking a Yard Person CDL A to join our 1st or 2nd shift team at our Springboro, Ohio Plant. This role is responsible for assisting in the proper and safe handling of products from production areas to yard storage, and ensuring a smooth and safe flow of products from storage areas onto trailers for shipment to job sites. The position involves stripping, yarding, and loading products onto trailers, as well as storing products in the yard. Approximately 10% of the day involves operating trucks for product storage within the yard.

Requirements

  • CDL A Required
  • Ability to work outdoors
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience in the pre-cast/pre-stressed concrete industry, preferred
  • Certified equipment operator a plus
  • Travel lift and/or tow motor a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing duties to ensure the proper and safe handling of products from production areas to yard storage.
  • Ensure a smooth and safe flow of products from storage areas onto trailers for shipments to job sites.
  • Assist in stripping products from forms.
  • Assist in yarding products.
  • Assist in loading products on trailers.
  • Assist in storing products out in the yard.
  • Operate trucks to store products.
  • Assist in hooking up products for loading and unloading.
  • Strip yard products from forms.
  • Store products out in the yard.
  • Operate company equipment to move material, load & unload trucks, & other duties as assigned.
  • Use of hand signals to escort equipment operators for setting, lifting or maneuvering production pieces during loading/unloading process.
  • Operate electronic hand held scanners for verification of production pieces during storage process.
  • Gather, at start of shift, shims, steel blocks, homosote, rack pins, and wood blocking used for the days production.
