Operator, Yard
About The Position
The Yard Operator will be responsible for assisting in loading and offloading operations, performing maintenance, and other related tasks. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, including daily Job Safety Environment Analysis (JSEA) forms. The operator must be able to work in various weather conditions and possess good communication skills, particularly in English, for interacting with managers, supervisors, and subcontractors. Flexibility in working hours, including extra hours and weekends, is necessary. The position also involves physical demands such as climbing ladders and lifting over 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have reliable means of transportation.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of pneumatic hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Monitor OSHA compliance and fill out JSEA forms daily.
- Assist in loading and offloading operations.
- Perform maintenance and other related operations.
- Communicate with Manager, Supervisor, and Subcontractors.
