About The Position

Candidates will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of yard workers engaged in loading and unloading materials. This role involves directing work in loading and unloading materials and in the use and care of machines and equipment. The position also requires completing all yard paperwork and documentation of incoming and outgoing material in a timely manner, coordinating and inspecting specified quantity and quality of shipments coming and going from the yard, and being responsible for loading and unloading customer and company vehicles. Additionally, the role involves counting and reconciling incoming and outgoing materials and assisting all customers in a courteous and friendly manner.

Requirements

1 to 3 years related yard or distribution center experience.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Must be able to do heavy lifting.
Forklift experience required.
Must have basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
Must be able to work as a team member.

Nice To Haves

1 year of lead experience preferred.
