About The Position
The Yard Manager manages a small team, ensuring smooth operations and upkeep of the stone yard while working in a fast-paced environment. This is a working manager position, requiring the operation of various equipment like forklifts and skid steers. The Yard Manager is also responsible for organizing different types of stone, maintaining property cleanliness, handling shipping and receiving, and assisting customers.

- Ability to work in outside-weather conditions
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts

- Ability to work in a usually loud noise level environment
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stand, talk and hear
- Ability to occasionally walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents

Responsibilities
- Manages a small team
- Ensures smooth operations and upkeep of the stone yard
- Operates a variety of equipment, including forklifts and skid steers
- Organizes various types of stone
- Maintains yard cleanliness
- Assists customers with the loading and unloading of materials
- Completes shipping and receiving of materials
- Greets customers and provides appropriate guidance
- Occasionally operates small equipment such as blowers and hand tools
- Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
- Manages the performance of yard staff including performance evaluation, coaching, and training
- Responsible for the management of in-house projects and delegation of tasks
