About The Position

The Yard/Loadout Associate is responsible for maintaining customer service according to company standards, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, point of sale operations, processing freight, and loss prevention in adherence to all company policies and store standards. This role involves greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and helping them locate products. The associate will also handle incoming phone calls, maintain radio communication with other staff, and possess comprehensive knowledge of the products sold. A key part of the role is staying informed about product knowledge and promotions, and assisting with floor moves, merchandising, displays, and general store upkeep. Additional duties include helping in other departments as needed, performing daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, replacing trash bags, and sweeping, and undertaking other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and to shift priorities accordingly.
• Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email.
• Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information and merchandise promotions.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.

• Perform daily cleaning – such as, but not limited to, vacuuming, replacing full trashes with new trash bags, and sweeping the department floor.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
