About The Position

Vascor is offering you the opportunity to join our team where you will become an asset to the service we deliver to our customers every day. As Yard Lead you will be the driving force in managing the yard activities, ensuring that the requirements of the Yard Management team as well as our customer requirements are met. This is for 2nd shift. 6:00 pm -2:30 am (5% shift differential added to base rate while working 2nd shift).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Driver's License required with a clean driving record.
Read and comprehend written word.
Write.
Perform calculations.
Good Communication skills.
Reason and analyze.
Comprehend directions/instructions.
Have natural or corrected eyesight capable of conducting inspections in varying levels of light.
Have normal range of hearing, or corrected hearing, to be able to respond to normal workplace sounds including approaching vehicles.

Nice To Haves

Computer training helpful, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Manage a staff of 12 employees.
Practice overall safety on the jobsite and in the yard.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Know the inspection process (inbound / post campaign) and train team on standardized inspections process.
Know how to use equipment (scanners/computer/etc.) and train team.
Fill out necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
Know, understand, and use Quality Management System and train team.
Ensure accurate arrival of inbound vehicles.
