The Yard Jockey will move trucks and trailers and straight trucks between multiple facilities for loading and unloading products. There is no over the road work, Yard Jockey’s will be home every day. The role involves moving various types of trailers including van trailers, bulk feed trailers, ingredient hopper trailers, and liquid tankers. Responsibilities include drop and hook operations, moving trailers to scales for loading, opening and closing bin lids, taking product samples from trailer bins for QA records, potentially performing QA testing and logging results, and communicating with the plant to coordinate loading. The position is self-paced and requires comfort with exposure to outside ambient temperatures.
